This bracelet is named for the Mekong River.  The Mekong is a trans-boundary river in Southeast Asia.  At 2,703 miles long, it is the world's twelfth longest river and seventh longest in Asia.  From the Tibetan Plateau the river runs through China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
